The Marriage Allowance enables couples to transfer £1100 of personal allowances to spouses or civil partners.
To benefit as a couple, the lower earner must have income of less than £11000 and the higher earner must not earn above £43000.

You may already be aware that from the 1st of October 2015 changes come into force for the National Minimum wage:-
The adult rate will increase to £6.70
The rate for 18-20 year olds will increase £5.30
The rate for 16-17 year olds will increase £3.87
And finally the apprentice rate will increase to £3.30
