Dataplan - an Update

Written by  Wednesday, 13 January 2016

What is new in 2016?

So, Christmas has been and gone and a brand new year is upon us once more. 2016 looks set to bring an array of challenges and opportunities for both Dataplan and the payroll industry.

A major priority for Dataplan in the next year will be transferring the organisations we work with from ePaysafe to VERA. A virtual HR system, VERA enables employers to access a whole raft of information, such as their employees’ contractual details, absence records and holiday requests in a single, streamlined portal. We are looking forward to the benefits of VERA being widely felt over the year ahead.

Alongside this lies the ongoing task of expanding the use of ePayslips. These have a number of advantages compared to their paper equivalents; they save time, reduce costs and are far more eco-friendly. 2016 should see ePayslips increasingly become the norm.

This year will meanwhile see the challenge of auto enrolment continue. We shall carry on using our technical understanding and pensions specialism to advise companies with the issues raised by the Pensions Act 2008 and its requirement for employees to be automatically enrolled into a pension scheme.

After the upheaval of this time a year ago with our transition into new offices, the Dataplan team are now feeling nicely settled here at Prince Albert Gardens. Moving into a dedicated, Dataplan building has given us a great opportunity for further expansion, and one that we are excited to build upon over the coming months as the nature of the work we undertake grows in ambition and scope.

Dataplan wishes a very Happy New Year to all, we will keep you posted on the progress we are making through 2016 and we hope you do the same!
